ENABLING A TAXI FLEET for contactless payments

Mobilising a fleet of 600 taxi drivers with on board card readers is not a small task but that’s exactly what Payaz did with one of the most successful independent taxi companies in the UK.

Taxi services are one of the most challenged business types when it comes to the transition from cash to digital. Like many traditionally cash based businesses taxi drivers can be reluctant to change old ways but with less passengers carrying cash and ATMs disappearing from the high street, card readers are becoming necessary.

The initial challenge faced with this type of project was exactly how each driver would manage the card readers and their accounts. Thankfully with Payaz and SumUp the solution was very simple.
